What a DAMN DAY! Seriously this one was one for the books (I know, I know — you’ll hear me say that A LOT) but seriously this one blew me away. It was a beautiful fall day in Nova Scotia, and if you’ve ever been to Nova Scotia in the fall you know exactly what I mean – sun on your face, leaves are turning colours, and all is well in the world. I started with the gals at Emily’s family home downtown Halifax, and my wonderful and talented pal, Alexa, was hanging out with the guys. The energy from the very moment we walked in was buzzing!
Something that you must know about these angels is that they are in fact, angels. Emily and Connor have to be two of the sweetest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of photographing! The cherry on top? They’re also so beautiful and they were a dream to capture.
The incredible team at Elegant Productions said it best when they described the vision for the day, “Emily had always dreamed of an Italian vineyard wedding, but with travel restrictions and other pandemic concerns, she decided that actually being married, surrounded by loved ones, was more important than a European elopement. But the bride’s love of Italy remained at the forefront of all planning and design decisions throughout the process.
We really only had one venue in mind when trying to emulate a countryside vineyard – Benjamin Bridge Winery in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. The rolling hills surrounding the Nova Scotia valley vines truly makes you feel like you’re in Tuscany; and the venue was nestled right in the middle of it all.”
Each detail was thoughtfully curated and displayed in a way that was purposeful and meaningful to Emily and Connor. It was such an incredibly special day, with one hell of a team to boot!
I’ll quit my yapping, and let these photos speak for themselves…
